Gift Strengthens Grinnell College Computer Science Program

DM Register: A $10 million gift from the estate of Robert N. Noyce, a late Grinnell College alum and Intel co-founder, will enhance the college’s computer science program. The donation includes $4 million for an endowed chair in computer science, with the remaining funds dedicated to curriculum development, scholarships, and state-of-the-art scientific equipment. 

This generous contribution will help the department meet the growing demand for education in AI, data science and related fields.

Athene Takes Part in First Paperless Annuity Transaction

IRI: Athene has achieved a significant milestone as one of the first two insurers to complete an entirely paperless annuity transaction. In collaboration with the Insured Retirement Institute (IRI) Digital First for Annuities initiative, this move has significantly streamlined the process, reducing transaction times from weeks to just days. This marks a pivotal moment in creating a new digital experience for annuities.

Next Level Ventures Announces First Close of Third Iowa Strategic Investment Fund

NLV: Next Level Ventures announced the first close of its third Iowa strategic investment fund, NLV Fund III–its fifth fund overall. The firm also completed its first investment from NLV Fund III, a seed investment in Genvax Technologies, based in Ames, IA. NLV Fund III remains open to accredited investors.
